Door after door leads back to this room. Perhaps the exit you are looking for is the door that doesn't lead you forward.
Overlord Effects
Each hero on the Passage of the Future tests Knowledge. Each time a hero fails, resolve 1 Peril card. If more heroes pass than fail, reveal the top 3 Exploration cards from the Exploration deck, and place them back in the same order. Then, each hero who tested reveals 1 objective token. If the green objective token is revealed, choose 1 door adjacent to that token. Remove the other 2 doors from the map and place end caps on each of those exits. Then, move fate backwards by 1 and discard the green and red objective tokens and this Exploration card. If the green objective token is not revealed, flip each objective token facedown, shuffle them, and replace them as indicated during setup. Then, resolve 1 Peril card.
